| Can somebody please explain to me how a 3rd team playing in the 3rd division can borrow 2 players from their first division team with club rankings of 5 and 7. If this is correct then what is the point of having 4 divisions. When playing in a lower division you expect to be playing people of similar standard not somebody 2 divisions higher |

Hi Gary
The rules state that any player can be 'substituted' by another registered player who plays for any other team, but that the stand-in must be ranked lower than the person he/she is replacing. So what you are describing does sound like an infringement on the understanding that the players being substituted were not ranked above 7 and 5 respectively.
So for example, you might have your number 4 club-ranked player (let's call him Fred) playing as number one in Div 3 and your number 5 ranked player (let's call him Joe) may play at number 3 in Div 1. In this case, Joe can play at number 1 in Fred's absence and he has a lower club ranking.
This is my interpretation of the rules (which seem to have gone missing....).
Regards
Adrian |
